After I lost almost all my .max files and textures I felt compelled to re-model a new character, avoiding the mistakes I had made with my previous models. After a few months of slow progress (due to work, school, and games) I finally finished, and spent a weekend modeling all the tech stuff (clothes?) and adding fx, etc.
Ever since I played Fallout 2 I've had an affinity for snipers and characters with guns, and had wanted to model a gun character for awhile. I always liked the railgun type stuff too, the mammoth mk ii's and mutant hijackers in C&C tiberian sun, the railguns in quake 2 and 3, the guns from that movie "Eraser" with the helices flying around the shots; thus I was inspired to create something similar here that captures the same feeling as pulling off a perfect railgun shot in quake.
