Well, I paid homage to Fatal Frame for creeping me out, so I figured why not do the same with Silent Hill 3? Actually, I enjoyed 2 quite a bit as well, but for some reason the third in the series inspired me to want to do a fan art. Once again I used the help of my talented girlfriend to sketch out Heather (the main character, pictured here), though I ended up changing the style of her face to suit the more 'realistic' environment and shading, as it initially clashed with her comparatively minimalistic style.

The monster in the background is supposed to be a 'closer', a relatively humanistic (as far as creatures in Silent Hill go) abherration with big, bloody arms to bludgeon her to death with, though the lighting makes it kind of hard to tell. I darkened it, though, so that it wouldn't be so easy to spot at first glance, and I think that's more important than realism of texture or being faithful to the original game, in this case. For some reason I chose the sewers for the background. Not one of the more gruesome or disturbing environments in the game, but I guess it seems extra creepy to me looking back on it because it was the one area that I completed without ever finding a map.

The title comes from this fanatical eyebrowless woman in the game who keeps preaching to Heather all sorts of crap she doesn't understand.
